  • AIDS Delaware

  • Not only a health service organization, AIDS Delaware also has counseling, education, and awareness programs and is the lead source of information on LGBT issues in the area. 
  • Camp Rehoboth

  • This LGBT group and publication serves the Southern Delaware region. 
  • Delaware Pride

  • Delaware Pride hosts the annual Delaware Pride Festival in Wilmington. 
  • Gay Delaware

  • A website devoted to events and news for LGBT individuals in the area. A great clearinghouse of local information. 
  • Haven

  • The website for the UD LGBT student group. 
  • UD LGBT Community Office

  • Serves as an information and resource center for the University LGBT community.
  • Q. Public

  • Delaware's LGBT monthly publication. 
  • Rainbow Chorale of Delaware

  • Delaware's Lesbian and Gay Chorus. 
  • Renaissance Delaware

  • The local chapter of the national transgender organization.
  • Light Box

  • The University of Delaware presents an exhibition of the Visual AIDS Archive Project.
 
Philadelphia Resources   
  • AIDSFund

  • An organization that raises and distributes funds to Philadelphia area providers of HIV and AIDS-related services through events such as the Philadelphia AIDSWalk and Philadelphia's Gay Bingo.
  • Penn Lesbian Gay Bisexual Alliance

  • The very strong student group at the University of Pennsylvania. 
  • Philadelphia Gay News

  • The region's most comprehensive, informative and current LGBT publication. You can pick up a new copy of the PGN at the LGBSU and LGBT Community Office every Friday. 
  • SafeGuards Gay Men's Health Project

  • Offering a wide variety of workshops, support groups, outreach and health counseling.
  • William Way Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Community Center

  • This Center, located on Spruce Street between 13th and Broad, houses many local LGBT groups and provides many services to the LGBT community. 
 
National Resources   
  • The BlackStripe

  • The Internet's leading resource for news, information and culture affecting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered people of African descent. 
  • Gay.com

  • A commercial site that provides news and other LGBT information. 
  • Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation

  • A media watchdog group dedicated to fair representations of LGBT individuals. 
  • Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network

  • Primarily a group centered on education at the elementary and secondary levels, GLSEN still provides a lot of resources pertinent to educating people on how to combat homophobia and how to support LGBT students. 
  • Human Rights Campaign

  • A main political lobby group, the HRC has good information on legislation affecting the LGBT community, both at the state level and in Congress. 
  • Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund

  • Lambda Legal also provides information on legislation of interest to LGBT individuals, and also has specific information on waging legal battles on behalf of the LGBT community. 
  • NAMES Project

  • This group is known for maintaining, publicizing, and showing the AIDS quilt to commemorate those who have died from the disease. 
  • National Gay and Lesbian Task Force

  • Primarily a political lobbying group, the NGLTF also presents "Creating Change," a national conference which brings together people from all walks of life to change the treatment and status of LGBT individuals. 
  • Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays

  • PFLAG has great information pertaining to how allies can assist those who are close to them who are LGBT. 
  • Rainbow Query

  • An LGBT-specific search engine. 
  • Planet Out

  • Another commercial site that provides a wealth of news and information. 
 
Resources pertaining to Bisexual Issues    All of the following sites provide useful information about bisexuality--some are organizations, and some are just clearinghouses of information. 
 
Resources pertaining to Transgender Issues    Some of the following sites are specific to particular trans communities--FTMs or Intersexed individuals--but all provide important information in a clear and helpful manner. 
 
Links and Academic Sites    The following sites can provide with even more information related to specific issues.  The following sites discuss Queer Theory, part of a move in academia to interrogate sexuality and gender.
