How did I get my nickname?
I love shoes and have an extensive collection. I once wore a different pair of shoes to work each day for 2 months.
An interesting fact about the University that I discovered recently.
You can travel to the stars without leaving our campus! UD is one of very few universities with a walkable scale model of the solar system.
The best thing to see or do when visiting campus
Attend an athletic event. There is always something going on and It is hard not to get caught up in the school spirit and the enthusiasm our fans have for UD!
Words of advice for a student who is applying.
Be thorough when listing your activities – include jobs! Be sure to also “follow along” with the application process using our portal at www.udel.edu/mybluehenhome.
The coolest Delaware experience
I am really impressed with the UD Garden for Community, which provides nutritious food for Delaware families in need! This is a cooperative partnership between the University of Delaware College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, CANR Ag College Council, Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners, and the Food Bank of Delaware. Volunteers can assist year round and this year over 12,000 pounds of food were donated to the Food Bank.
First Flight - I was 6 weeks old and have loved to fly ever since!
First Car - 1971 Chevelle Malibu - red with a white vinyl roof and a white interior.
First Job - Server at Dairy Queen. I still love a Hot Fudge Brownie Delight sundae.
First Concert - Van Halen
First Horse - an "off the track" thoroughbred mare named Viramir.
