An interesting fact about the University that I discovered recently.

In March 1867, the University of Delaware voted to approve the Morrill Act, meaning that the national government would donate land to support UD to teach courses related to agriculture and the mechanic arts. Today UD remains one of 76 land grant colleges and universities in the U.S.

The best thing to see or do when visiting campus

Since I enjoy running, I take advantage of White Clay Creek State Park, which is less than a mile from campus. Head there for exciting trails, fun mountain biking challenges, and scenic vistas overlooking lush valleys and impressive rock outcrops.

Words of advice for a student who is applying.

We all have a story to tell. Consider that life has a unique way of shaping us into who we are. Think about your greatest triumphs and biggest challenges to this point in your life. Do your best to describe authentically your life’s journey to give a clear picture of who you are. Reflect on it and relate it to who it is you want to become!
