How did I get my nickname?

I’m that classic idea person who constantly looks for ways to implement change. Creative thinkers not only like to tinker with text or direct artistic endeavors – although I like to do that, too! – but also like to figure out ways to do things smarter and better. For the same reason I collect snow globes from around the world, I like to shake things up.

An interesting fact about the University that I discovered recently.

II discovered that the University of Delaware has one of the most beautiful gem collections, including pieces from Tiffany. Our Mineralogical Museum was recently reopened after extensive renovation. It’s the perfect place on campus to escape and explore!

The best thing to see or do when visiting campus

Our 90-minute walking tour is a great, fast-paced way to experience UD. After your tour, walk over to the Morris Library and take a seat next to the fountain. Listen to the trickling water, soak in the beauty of The Green, and toss in a coin for a successful year!

Words of advice for a student who is applying.

We have over 125 majors & 100 minors. Before completing your application, think beyond the subjects you’ve taken in high school and explore our major finder to find the best major (or majors!) for you.

The coolest Delaware experience

Cooler than cool, the coolest Delaware Experience I know of is our study abroad experience to Argentina and Antarctica . Participating undergrads hop a plane and board a freighter for a journey to the bottom of the world. Students interested in photojournalism and wildlife conservation participate in coursework and excursions with UD professors. All return to campus with required credits, magazine-worthy photographs, and the kinds of rarified memories that they’ll share with their grandchildren one day.
