Who can attend these classes?

Any staff or faculty member may enroll in training classes.

How do I register for a class?
In this website, select the menu item Classes & Registration and then click the workshop's date link or go directly to the UD Training calendar at http://webapps.css.udel.edu/calendar/.  Then click the Login to Register or Cancel button and enter your CAS information.  You will get an immediate confirmation of your successful registration. 

Do I need my supervisor’s approval to attend a workshop?
Release time for an employee to participate in Employee Education & Development classes may require supervisory approval.  Supervisors should balance workshop requirements with the employee's need for skill enhancement and/or career growth.  The University encourages supervisors to discuss with interested employees release-time options for participating in University- sponsored training programs.

How do I know if I successfully registered for a class?
You will get an immediate confirmation of your successful registration within the UD Training calendar application.

Will I get a reminder prior to the date of the class?
Yes, you will get an email reminder of the class a few days prior to the date of the class with its date, time and location.

Do classes cost anything?
No, classes are free.

How do I register for Blue & Gold Leadership?
B&G Leadership participants are selected by a nomination process through your vice president or dean rather than self-registration.

How do I cancel my registration?
What do I do if I can’t attend a class I’ve registered for?
Please cancel your registration as soon as you know you cannot attend, so that someone on the Waitlist can attend in your place.  To cancel:

  • Go to the class in the UD Training calendar
  • Click the Login to Register or Cancel button
  • Enter you CAS information
  • Click the Cancel Registration button
  • You will get a confirmation message – “Class registration has been canceled”

Are classes ever canceled by Employee Education & Development?
Yes, sometimes classes are canceled for low enrollment.  You will receive an email a few days prior to the class alerting you if this happens.

How do I get a copy of the presentation of a class I’ve attended?
Some class PowerPoint presentations are available to participants.  Please email your request to employeetraining@udel.edu with the title and date of the class.

How do I add my name to the Waitlist for a full class?
In the Registration section of the class, click the Add Me to the Waitlist button. 
In the event of a cancellation or an increase in seating capacity, you will be auto-registered for this class. The waitlist function of the registration system will notify you through email if you are able to be registered at a later date.

How do I request another copy of a Certificate of Completion, Certificate of Accomplishment, or Certificate of Attendance if I lost the original?
Send your request to employeetraining@udel.edu with the details of the class you attended.

Can I earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for completing a class?
Some classes do award CEUs for completion, such as the Blue & Gold certificate programs.  If CEUs are awarded for a class, you will find them on the Certificate of Completion and on brochures for the Blue & Gold certificate programs.
