AAUP-UD Steering Committee Resolution


At its May 7, 2015 meeting, the Steering Committee of the University of Delaware chapter of the AAUP voted unanimously to support the University of Delaware Faculty Senate's Resolution Recommending Openness in Administrative Searches. This resolution reaffirms previous recommendations that administrative searches (including president) be conducted in a reasonably open manner. The Faculty Senate resolution specifically recommends that short-listed candidates be announced and that opportunities be provided where the students, faculty and other concerned members of the University community may engage them and provide feedback.
