Welcome to the home page of the Women’s Studies Program at the University of Delaware!

Women’s Studies (WOMS) is the largest interdisciplinary program on campus offering a broad range of courses in the humanities and social sciences, many of which are cross-listed with other departments and programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. The program offers a B.A. degree with an Honors Degree Option as well as Minor Degrees in Women’s Studies and in Sexualities and Gender Studies. Majors may choose to complete a concentration in Women in Global Perspective and a large number of WOMS students also opt to pursue a double major. The Women’s Studies Program provides students with numerous academic and service learning opportunities, among these are a winter session study abroad in India, internships with social service agencies and government offices, the Geis Student Conference as well as regular lecture and film series.

The program takes great pride in its diverse faculty. Many are distinguished scholars in their fields and WOMS faculty has been recognized by the University for excellence in teaching and advising. Students frequently state that WOMS faculty is highly accessible and supportive, and they also enjoy the sense of community the program is able to offer them.
