In 2006, Women's Studies received a three-year grant from the Office of the Provost designed to promote university-wide research in women's studies and gender, thereby strengthening existing ties to departments in the College of Arts and Sciences and fostering new connections and alliances with departments in other colleges. The final awards were announced in spring 2009.
