The undergraduate first-prize winner was Ivy McDaniels, Ursinus College, for "The Shame Woman: A 'Long Wail' for Appalachian Women." The undergraduate second-prize winner was Joseph Randall, University of Delaware, for "The (not so) Wonderful World of Disney: A Study of Gender and Race in Animated Disney Films." The first-prize graduate winner was Alyssa Richman, Temple University, for "Reading and Writing the Body - Negotiating Queer Identity." The second-place winner in the graduate division was Theodoros Triandos, University of Delaware, for "The History of Feminist Appropriation Art: A Problem of (Re) Appropriation." |
