  • Civil Liberties and Public Policy Program at Hampshire College
    The Civil Liberties and Public Policy Program (CLPP), a national program located at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, acts as a resource to the academic community and the reproductive rights movement and makes links between the two. CLPP's goals include: promoting the leadership and agenda of young women; presenting a broad vision of reproductive freedom; developing strategies that are national in scope and impact and yet grassroots in implementation. CLPP accomplishes these goals through organizing initiatives and coalition work with other national organizations. CLPP offers courses, publishes materials and videos, organizes The Fight for Abortion Rights and Reproductive Freedom (an annual conference for student and community activists), and coordinates the annual National Young Women's Day of Action.
  • Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF)
    The Feminist Majority Foundation views feminism as a global movement dedicated to equality and seeks to eliminate discrimination of all kinds -- sex, race, sexual orientation, age, religion, national origin, disability, and marital status. And, like feminists since the late 19th Century, advocate non-violence and work to eliminate social and economic injustice.

  • The Network of East-West Women – Polska NEWW

    Equality Now works to end violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world through the mobilization of public pressure.   • Systers
    Systers is an informal organization for technical women in computing that began in 1987 as a small mailing list for women in "systems", thus the name systers. There are now over 2500 systers in 25 countries. If you are a woman in the technical end of computing, you are welcome to join.
  • WomensNet
    The Institute for Global Communications (IGC) is a nonprofit organization that provides alternative sources of information as well as online access and comprehensive Internet services for progressive individuals and organizations. WomensNet is just one part of their site, as well as PeaceNet, LaborNet, and more.

    Third Wave is a feminist, activist foundation that works nationally to support young women and transgender youth ages 15 to 30. Through strategic grantmaking, leadership development, and philanthropic advocacy, they support groups and individuals working towards gender, racial, economic, and social justice.

  • House O' Chicks
    This company, and website, is dedicated to educating the public about women's sexuality in an honorable and beautiful way. The site doesn't seem to be sexually explicit in images, but does talk frankly about sex.

    The only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to recognizing the contributions of women artists.
  • Eating Disorder Referral and Information Center
    The Eating Disorder Referral and Information Center is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of eating disorders. Edreferral.com provides information and treatment resources for all forms of eating disorders. Provides assistance, in the form of information and resources, to those suffering with eating disorders to get them started on the road to recovery and healthy living.

  • National Organization for Women (NOW)

  • Women's Action for New Directions (WAND)
    Founded as Women's Action for Nuclear Disarmament by Dr. Helen Caldicott in the early 1980s to end the threat of nuclear annihilation, WAND continues as Women's Action for New Directions. This organization empowers women to act politically, works to reduce militarism and violence, and works to redirect excessive military resources toward human and environmental needs.     A site by a woman named Diane, who links to weekly articles on another site. Some of the articles are rather interesting, although it's not quite clear who writes them.

    A site created as a school project and raging at media images of women. Some interesting links as well.
  • The Rebuttal from Uranus
    This page is exclusively for the critical review and analysis of the enormously self-help book Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus: A Practical Guide for Improving Communication and Getting What You Want in Your Relationships (New York: HarperCollins, 1992).
