Eligibility for students:

University of Delaware Sophomores and above with a minimum grade point average of 3.25 are eligible.

Procedures for students:

The following steps are required to apply for the award:

• Contact the faculty member to discuss the project, the time commitment and what work you would perform.
• Download the Faculty-Student Application Form.Complete the "student information" section, and ask the faculty member with whom you will work to complete the "faculty member information" section. The form requires both signatures. Give one copy of the form to the faculty member and keep a copy for yourself.
• Print a copy of your resumé.
• Submit three hard copies of the signed Faculty-Student Application Form and your resumé to Dr. Jean Pfaelzer, English Department, 316 Memorial Hall, and one copy to Dr. Monika Shafi, Women's Studies, 34 W. Delaware Ave.

Eligibility for faculty:

All University of Delaware faculty members are eligible.

Procedures for faculty:

The following steps are required to apply for a Semester Research Assistant Award:

• Meet with the student applicant to discuss the time commitment and the nature of the work the student is expected to perform. Either the faculty member or the student may initiate contact.
• Complete the "faculty member information" section of the Faculty-Student Application Form and sign it. Retain a copy.

Application Deadline: February 15, 2009

Evaluation:

Successful applicants and the faculty members with whom they work will submit evaluation forms by October 1, 2009 to Dr. Monika Shafi, Women's Studies.
Faculty and Student each need to submit a separate form:
