Eligibility:
All University of Delaware graduate students who are in the initial stages of writing a dissertation or who are nearing completion are eligible for this award.

Application Procedures:

The following steps are required to apply for the award.

• Download and print out the Dissertation Award Application Form.
• Print out a copy of your CV.
• Write a brief essay (2 pages) explaining how this award will benefit your research, specifically what you plan to accomplish during the year. Be sure to also include a timetable of tasks.
• Solicit two letters of recommendation from faculty members.
• Submit 3 hard copies of all application materials to Dr. Jeannie Pfaelzer, English Department, Memorial Hall. (pfaelzer@udel.edu) and 1 hard copy of all application materials to Dr. Monika Shafi, Women's Studies, 34 W. Delaware Ave. (mshafi@udel.edu).

Application Deadline: 15 February 2009

Award recipients will submit a 2-page report describing the research carried out on the grant. Please submit 2 copies, one to Dr. Jeannie Pfaelzer, Department of English, Memorial Hall (pfaelzer@udel.edu) and one to Dr. Monika Shafi, Women's Studies, 34 W. Delaware Ave. (mshafi@udel.edu).
