University of Delaware Women's Club
2007 Woman of the Year
Louise Roselle
The University of Delaware
Women’s Club is pleased to announce that Louise Roselle has been
selected as our Women of the Year for 2007. For the past 17
years Louise has been a very supportive member of the UDWC, graciously
welcoming us to her home on Kent Way for our annual September opening
meeting.
Louise has dedicated her time while at the University of Delaware to
promoting and supporting the tremendous diversity of activities,
events, programs, scholarship and sports, not only within the
university community, but in the larger "neighborhood" of the State of
Delaware as well. Louise and David, ( President Roselle), were
frequent attendees at university concerts, conferences, PTTP
productions, sports games - the list goes on! - as well as at events in
the larger community beyond the university.
During these years in Delaware Louise has also served on a number of
community boards, among them The Delaware Art Museum, Gilpin
Hall, The Delaware Historical Society and The Garden Club of
Wilmington.
Louise has said that living in the "president's house" has created an
opportunity for her to meet many university supporters and, above all,
to promote the university whenever possible. She readily admits
that one of her great interests has been the beautification of the
University of Delaware campus, something that we all have been enjoying!
The UDWC is indeed delighted that Louise Roselle is our Women of the
Year!
