This video shows a battery electric-drive vehicle with power electronics
to perform V2G. The video first shows it producing steady peak power,
then shows the hookups and power electronics, then shows the vehicle providing
regulation. When putting out power to meet peak
demand, a single vehicle cranks out 10 kW, enough to not only power the entire
shop but also run the meter backwards! During regulation, it switches from
charging to discharging and back second-by-second as needed by the grid
operator or utility.
