Streaming HRIM 320 Spring 1998 Lectures. |
This web site allows students to see and hear lectures,
review notes, and link to related resources for HRIM 320.
To accomplish this, we have employed the use of RealMedia from
RealNetworks, Inc. to stream
audio and video. Graphical slides accompany the streaming video
lecture and are syncronized to Professor Nelson's audio and video.

System Requirements. |
The data rates to accomplish this have been designed for anyone
connected via ethernet (in your dorm room) or at home (through a dial-up
modem) will be able to view these lectures easily.
The minimum recommended systems for viewing these lectures are as follows.
- Power Macintosh 66mhz, MacOS 8, 640x480 resolution monitor,
enough available RAM for the plug-in to load, 28.8kb/s modem.
- Pentium 60mhz based PC, Windows 95, 640x480 resolution monitor,

Please note that you only need to install RealPlayer the first time you
access these lectures. It is not necessary to download RealPlayer for each
lecture. RealPlayer is NOT required to only view the lecture slides.

Network Congestion Information. |
If you have difficulties with "network congestion" causing delays,
choppy audio and video, or missing slides, you might also try the
following:
- Switching to Audio only mode (disables video).
- Accessing the lectures during a non-prime time (ex. early morning,
late evening)
