Executive Committee Update

The chart of accounts is very close to completion.
UDFS and Vacation calendars (for project team leaders have been placed on the Web).
Marsha will take over updating the department and account tables in

near future.

Version 8.4 Peoplebooks are linked at the UDFS website and ready for use.
The financials microcomputer is in and the operating system being loaded. It is anticipated that PeopleSoft will be loaded on to the machine the 1st week of June.
It has been decided that all entries into the financial system will include a department in addition to account.

Public Query Subteam Report

Nothing new to report.

Trees Subteam Report

The trees subteam has discovered several interesting items including:

If a node is removed from a tree, it is not removed from the tree node table.
Nodes using the same name, but used in different trees, may carry different characteristics.
Effective dates are significant when values, names, or characteristics of a node in one tree having the same name as a node in another tree, are changed.

The next activity of the trees sub-team will be to develop and test effective dating scenarios to determine, document, and publish, the rules surrounding these dates.
The report team has asked that all members of the teams be included in any mailings to the tree sub-team.

Delivered Reports & JVs Subteam

The team is looking at all delivered reports related to control set of jvs by priority as assigned by the Executive Team Leader. Results are being logged to an Excel spreadsheet that will be periodically emailed to Report Team members along with COA group members. The Excel spreadsheet, along with report samples, will be filed in a notebook in 003 HH for use or reference as needed. The Report Team delivered report control notebook (located in 003 HH) is also being used as a resource and may have notes posted where relevant.

Communications Team

The team is learning about the chart of accounts and has forwarded questions about the accounts to the Chart of Accounts group for review and appropriate action.
The next activity to be undertaken will be a needs assessment to include items like determining the data currently used from the data warehouse to allow for grouping of users by data-use.

Additional Information

It was recommended that a representative from the HR system area be included on the Reporting team since they have developed much knowledge relative to use of queries and system workings. It was noted that Kat Collison has been included as a part of the team but, to date, has been unable to attend. Discussion will take place with HR systems relative to a representative from that area attending future Report Team meetings.
