Summary of 6/21/01 G/L Team Meeting

Task:          Dave, with the assistance of the GL Team, will write up the documentation

                   for setting up tables in PS General Ledger System.

 

Task:         List all of the interfaces to UD General Ledger System both to and from and

                  internal and external.

 

Task:         Identify Significant Tables and Create a List of Tables in Priority Order.

 

Task:        Determine if the PS Allocation Process can be used to process UD monthly

                 fringe benefits and overhead.

 

Issues:       How will Transfers/Allocations be handled in PS?

 

Ben distributed a list of PS  “Knowledge Center Skills On-Demand” courses that he selected for the G/L team and the General Accounting Department.  These courses can be accessed through the PS Knowledge Center using ID and Password designated to various  PS Team members.  Everyone who attended the Executive Committee has selected courses associated with their team’s assignments.  If Ben hasn’t selected a course that you would like to take you may contact other team leaders to see if it is available.

 

We looked at the  PS Project Plan on the Web to discuss the completion dates Ben selected for the G/L Team assignments.  Ben is still reviewing the “No Matches” on the “Conduct Panel Review” assignment.

 

Dave will continue working on the assignment “Identify Significant Tables” completing the PS menu options; Process Bank Statement, Load Transactions, and Review Financial Information.  Dave said that by completing this assignment he is gaining the knowledge needed to complete the assignment “Writing up General Ledger set up table documentation”.
