Task: Determine if the PS Allocation Process can be used to process UD monthly
Task: Create a step-by-step check list that will be used to assist us in running the
current legacy system processes in PS
Issues: How will Transfers/Allocations be handled in PS?
The G/L Team meetings for the month of April consisted of investigating People Books on the following subjects: Effective Dating, Time Spans, Closing Rules, Setting up Detail Ledgers, Summary Ledgers, Closing a period, and Creating Trees. In addition, we as a group, took the on-line demand course on “Introduction to Trees”.
The Team also explored PS SUV Detail Ledger and Summary Ledger for Univ. We tried to create a Summary Ledger for UD01 but could not complete the process because there are Trees that still need to be created. We also examined the Tree created by Marsha.
For our meeting on May 8th the G/L Team members will read “Managing Interim and Year-End Closing” from PeopleBooks 8.4 version and be prepared to discuss and write up the set up steps and rules for interim and year-end closings.
