Task: Dave, with the assistance of the GL Team, will write up the documentation
for setting up tables in PS General Ledger System.
Task: List all of the interfaces to UD General Ledger System both to and from and
internal and external.
Issues: How will Transfers/Allocations be handled in PS
Ben began the meeting with an announcement that there will be People Soft General Ledger I Training in Boston held on June 26 – 29. If anyone would like to attend let Ben know as soon as possible.
At the Executive Committee meeting it was mentioned that we are not following the project plan. We reviewed the project plan at UDFS web site. We all agreed that we are on target. The only change would be the date for Creating MS Access Conversion table and an explanation from Lynda Ruggerio on the assignment to “Create a list of tables in priority order.” They also asked where the groups are in exploring PS panels.
Ben informed us that Carol Rylee and Kathy Zinzer would be loading budgets in PS. Also, additional chart field values are being set up so that Journals can be tested.
The Executive Committee also asked that a new section be added to team minutes for “Issues” that need to be explored in PS. The G/L team received a new assignment to “make a list of interfaces to UD General Ledger System both to and from and internal and external.” Since Ben has the information needed to complete the assignment, he will work with Karen to accomplish the task.
Ben talked to Dave in regards to an assignment to write up the PS General Ledger set up table documentation. Since Dave has been involved in PS HR implementation he was unable to complete the assignment. In the next two weeks he will explore PS SUV to familiarize himself with the software. The G/L team will dedicate our bi-weekly meetings to assist Dave in completing this task.
For the rest of our meeting Ben had some questions regarding our assignment to compare UD data element dictionaries to PS SUV panels. We reviewed the areas in question and made all necessary corrections.
Ben suggested that the GL team read “Setting up tables” in People Books before our next meeting.
Our next scheduled meeting will be on May 10.
