Task: Determine if the PS Allocation Process can be used to process UD monthly

fringe benefits.

Issues: How will Transfers/Allocations be handled in PS?

Ben began the meeting with the following information discussed at the Executive Team meeting. The Executive Team attended a demo for Cognos Reporting Software that interfaces with PS. Each PS Functional Team has been assigned the task of creating a step-by-step checklist that will be used to assist us in running the current legacy system processes in PS. Your “Events List” should be used to determine which processes can or cannot be processed in PS. We also need to include a list of outstanding issues that will be posted to the G/L Team UDFS PS web site. Our list will include “How will Transfers/Allocations be handled in PS”? and “How to calculate and distribute Fringe Benefits cost data”.

Ben also requested the G/L team to explore “Bank Reconciliation” in PS People Books.

We continued the meeting by starting the People Soft Knowledge Center, On Demand training “Introduction to Trees”. Our goal is to learn how to create and use “Trees” to run basic financial statements and reports using “N Vision”.

Our next scheduled meeting is on March 27^th.
