Training Plan Status Update
- Query class – progress on
web - Please submit any comments about the Query class to Peggy this week.
- Trees Class subgroup
report – Chris Cook – The subgroup is close to finishing and will need
time to share with the whole group.
This may be put off until later as the group has decided that this
is a class that can wait to be offered at a later date.
- Know thy Data subgroup
report – Ellen: The group met last week and will meet again this
week. They are working on the Data
Dictionary with the help of Rick McCaully. If the Trees subgroup doesn’t need the meeting time on 5/19,
Know thy Data will use it to show the group what they have so far.
LAM
- Update on databases:
Security on the Input tables is likely.
John Adcock feels this is doable for both the input tables and the
query. Disencumbrances are still
up in the air as IT is unsure how and what will be disencumbered. Peggy has written some EZQ’s to bring
LAM transactions together. Linda
is reviewing the instructions.
Chris Cook mentioned that she wants to enter Post Docs and Grads
into the LAM. If this is done correctly, she can use this information to
generate SARS. Does the Budget
Office realize the commitment they will have in offering to add all of these
to the LAM? Michelle will bring
this back to Carol to see if she
can give us a specific list of those PS accounts that will be
automatically entered into the LAM.
- Next steps are getting
urgent: a small group will work this afternoon (May 5) on writing the LAM
course so that we can offer this quickly.
CHEP and CMS need to have the ability to enter encumbrances into
the LAM by 7/1/03. This is not
optional. UD Obligations and
disencumbrances are not required by Go-live.
Basic Training
- Next
Steps: Small group will work on
writing Basic Training this afternoon (May 5)
- Monthly
reporting is still up in the air.
Dazel reports are not possible but some sort of electronic delivery
will be used.
