Monthly Statement Update (Pull and Push)

• Individuals getting “not posted” messages (about 99 Purposes) on Pull Statements can contact Ellen or they can pull to get their statements.
• Reminder that when pulling someone else’s statements, information will go to their mail box. So if you want to see it you need to send it to yourself.
• Due to the ease of pulling statements, individuals that receive pushed statements can chose to pull them instead. Send email to Marsha Lockard or Ellen asking to be removed from the list of pushed recipients. Indicate in the email whether you want no more pushed statements, or whether you want to stop receiving some Purposes and continue to receive others.

LAM

• Need to emphasize LAM procedures especially to non-academic units.
• Specifically: units need to know that they MUST ENTER INFO IN LAM for ANY funding distribution change – doing a JED is NOT ENOUGH. This is in Basic II but must be emphasized.
• Discussed issue of new grad students going into suspense because EMPLID often isn’t assigned until right before pay is run (due to HR workload), and there isn't time to get them into the LAM before pay is run into GL.

Related problem: the only way to find out that EMPLID is assigned is for staff in units to keep checking the web - it would be vastly superior to have an e-mail go to unit and budget office automatically. Also would be very helpful to have EMPLID assigned sooner.

Pay currently goes into GL on payday. This doesn't give staff enough time to get LAM information loaded for new grad students.

Possible solution: delay running the 9/15 pay into GL until X days after pay is run; suggest 5 business days. Question: is that a problem to wait that long to see the 9/15 pay in PeopleSoft financials.

Lunch and Learns

• We plan to send an open invitation to all 900+ authorized users, in part to find people who have fallen through the cracks. The tentative date/time is October 30, 9-10:30.
