Monthly Statement Explanation Status

Prazniak explained the various types of statements (OPBAS, OPSS, OPBAL and
Project, Asset and Liability) and reviewed the data that will be shown on
each. She also explained the
instances where credits will be shown as negative or positive. Examples and complete explanations of
all types of statements will be available on the General Accounting
website. Team gave feedback on
explanations; Peggy to e-mail to Eileen.
Push and Pull Statement Update
- General
Accounting will notify “push” recipients via email when statements are
available. A link will be provided
to the GA website which explains the statement format.
- Some
“super users” of statements have been asked to “pull” their statements to
reduce the size of the main “push” program. Ellen Lepine is training the users affected by this
decision.
- Committee
members should have copies of both the long and short versions of the pull
instructions. The long version
allows the user to define the scope and the reporting requirements
desired.
- Peggy
requested that the majority of campus users not be notified quite yet
about their ability to “pull” statements.
Basic Training II
- The
group reviewed the slides prepared to date.
- The
goal is to be able to offer Basic II by the end of September, although it
is hoped that the training slides can be finalized very soon.
- Peggy
encouraged committee members to review the slides again this week and to
come to the next meeting with specific suggestions for wording on the
slides that are still incomplete.
