Dr. Tim DeSchriver

Tim DeSchriver is an Associate Professor in the Sport Management program. Tim came to the University of Delaware in 2004. Prior to UD, Tim was an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for six years and also an Assistant Professor at Western Carolina University for three years. Tim primarily instructs courses in Sport Finance and Sport Marketing. He has published numerous articles in journals such as the Journal of Sport Management, Sport Marketing Quarterly, Sport Management Review, and the Eastern Economics Journal. Tim is also the co-author of Sport Finance, (1st and 2nd editions), along with Gil Fried and Steve Shapiro. Dr. DeSchriver has also consulted with sport organizations such as the NCAA, Anschutz Entertainment Group, the New York Red Bulls, Ripken Baseball, and the National Steeplechase Association. Dr. DeSchriver earned his Ed.D.in Sport Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, a Masters degree in Economics from Penn State University, and a Bachelors degree in Economics from Villanova University.
