The files in this directory are derived from raw, single-ping, 75 kHz
Ocean Surveyor ADCP data (2.5 GB of .ENS and .N2R files) that were
processed in a Unix c-shell environment (12.8 MB of .ascii files)
on a Mac Powerbook-G4 running OS X 10.2.8:
- extraction and ASCII conversion of certain data fields in the binary .ENS using
bin3.f
to store single-ping ASCII files
- processing AshTech attitudinal data using
match.f
- processing the output from the above two data streams with
osadcp.f (main code),
filter.f (Lanczos filter),
adcp_pro.f (subroutines)
- to convert from beam to earth co-ordinates;
- to filter navigation and attitude data (Lanczos raised cosine)
- to apply of calibration coefficients
- to screen data with (log):
- single-ping all 4 beams valid status
- single-ping error velocity < 50 cm/s
- single-ping pitch and roll < 15 degrees
- multiple-ping error velocity < 15 cm/s
- multiple-ping percent-good-pings > 50%
- multiple-ping vessel-speed < 8 m/s
- multiple ping vessel-speed standard dev. < 40 cm/s
- multiple-ping vessel-heading standard dev. < 80 deg.
- multiple-ping water-speed < 200 cm/s
