Where can I get my card? The Many Advantages What if I lose my card? How does it work?

Meals/Points | UD1 Flex | WSFS UD#1 Account

The Card

The UD#1 CARD is the official identification card of the University of Delaware.

The University issues the UD#1 CARD to students, faculty, staff, spouses, departments, groups attending conferences and groups enrolled in special programs.

The card is the property of the University of Delaware and is returned to the institution at the end of the cardholder's association with the University of Delaware (UD).

The Many Advantages

The UD#1 CARD can be used to access such services and facilities as parking and fitness centers , student activities and voting, the dispensary and student health services, athletic facilities and events , dining meals and points , vending , laundry, and copiers with UD1 FLEX . You can also arrange to access to STARSM (previously MAC®) through a WSFS UD#1 Account.

T he library and University Bookstore systems are interfaced to read the UD#1 CARD. You can use your card to check books out of the library or pay for books at the bookstore (whether with FLEX, STARSM or from a scholarship or student loan disbursement to your student account).

Eligibility for these applications is determined by the cardholder based on classification (determined by the Office of the Registrar) and account balance.

Card Security

Lost/stolen UD#1 CARDs can be reported 24 hours a day by dialing
831-CARD (2273), then using your UD PIN with your Student Identification Number to suspend your card. This action will prevent unauthorized use of your card.

Cards that are lost or stolen can be replaced with proper identification. A replacement fee of $15 is charged. This fee can be paid by cash, FLEX, or a charge to the student's account.

If a lost or stolen card is recovered before a replacement is issued, you may reactivate the card by with proper identification at the Student Services Building.

If you find an UD#1 CARD, it should be turned in to the UD#1 CARD office.

The Technology

A digitized image of the cardholder appears on the card, along with the cardholder's name, identification number, and classification. A half inch encoded HICO magnetic stripe is read by the various system cardreaders on campus, retrieving the cardholder's privileges, access and security.
