Mission

The mission of the University of Delaware's Office of Risk Management is to manage the protection of University human, physical, natural and financial assets to minimize losses and legal liabilities.

The University of Delaware, Office of Risk Management administers the University’s risk management program by providing central coordination of exposure identification, risk evaluation, risk control and risk financing. Risk Management also analyzes the costs involved with each risk and the resulting liabilities. The Office of Risk Management evaluates risks to students, faculty, staff and visitors, and recommends alternatives for protection against or elimination of identified risks.

Notice

Effective the 2013-2014 academic year, students are required to have health insurance coverage and must verify their coverage at the beginning of each academic year.
