e-Park Online Permit Requests
Information for Students
|
All Students
**Fall 2008 Change** Beginning
Fall 2008 students will no longer be required to provide vehicle information
for parking permits. Students will be issued hangtags valid on any
vehicle. Permit owners will be responsible for all citations issued
on the permit. Parking permits remain non-transferable and should
not be used by anyone other than the permit owner.
Bill Account -
Register before in-person sales begin to use the bill account payment
method. The bill account option is only available for a limited time
each semester. Charges will show on your account no later than the
first day of classes. Please remember to add your permit charge
to your semester bill payment.
New Students -
Newly admitted students will not be able to apply for a permit until
receiving their UDelNetID and password or UD ID number and PIN. This
generally occurs during new student orientation (DelaWorld 101).
Permit Pick-Up -
Online permit purchases for students must be picked up at the Perkins
Garage Cash Office. Permits for an upcoming term will be available
for pick up at the Perkins Center Garage beginning the weekend before
classes begin. Permits for a term currently in progress will be available
for pickup at the Perkins Center Garage after 5 pm of the next business
day. Please pick up your permit at the Perkins Garage within 5 business
days of date of availability.
Residence Halls -
On campus students do not need to know their residence hall to request
a permit. Students just need to know they will be living on campus to request
a resident permit.
Resident Student Gate Parking -
Resident student gate-controlled parking is available in lot #14C Center For The Arts Garage and #4C Perkins
parking garage; located on Academy
Street at the corner of Lovett Avenue. Resident students living in
Dickinson, Rodney, Harter, Sharp, Brown and Sypherd will be assigned to
the CFA Garage #14C or the closest available resident student gate lot.
Resident students living in Harrington, Gilbert, Squire, Sussex, Kent,
Smythe, New Castle, Cannon, Russell, Lane, and Thompson that request resident gate parking will
be assigned lot #4C Perkins parking garage or the closest available resident
student gate lot.
Register Early -
The closest available resident parking lot to your on-campus address
will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
To retain your lot assignment -
It is strongly recommended that you purchase your permit for the full
academic year. If your permit lapses, expect lot assignments to be for
perimeter parking. Fall semester resident permits should be extended by
Thanksgiving in order to retain lot assignment.
Commuting Students
**NEW** All Commuting Students
living outside of the parking perimeter may register for a commuter
gate permit at the Center for the Arts garage. Student gate permits
are issued for the academic year only and are valid in non-restricted
gold lots after 4 P.M. on weekdays and on weekends. Students
use their UD ID card to access the garage Monday through Friday 7
AM - 6 PM. After 6 PM on weekdays and anytime on weekends users would
be expected to pay the current hourly rates.
Eligibility -
Commuters living outside the parking perimeter who have completed 110
credit hours may request a gold or red permit. Purchasing your permit
for the full year is more cost effective than purchasing for shorter time
frames.
Evening Classes -
If you are only taking evening classes, red permit holders may park
in unrestricted gold lots after 4 p.m. and on weekends.
Winter & Summer Sessions -
All commuters are eligible for a gold permit during winter and summer
sessions. Red permit holders may upgrade to gold during winter and summer
sessions for an additional fee. Upgrades must be purchased in person at
Parking Services, 413 Academy St.
Shuttle Buses -
Shuttle buses do not operate during the summer, Spring Break, or recess periods between semesters.
Carpool -
UD e-park cannot accommodate carpool requests. Carpool patrons need
to apply in person and must register together. Please contact Parking Services,
831-1184, for further information.
Eligibility -
Commuting graduate students may purchase a red or gold permit regardless
of their off campus address. Purchasing your permit for the full year is
more cost effective than purchasing for shorter time frames.
Evening & Weekends -
A red permit holder may park in unrestricted gold lots after 4 p.m.
and on weekends.
Living on Campus -
Graduate students living on campus can only purchase a resident student
permit. Teaching assistants and research assistants are eligible for gold
lot privileges in addition to a resident lot.
Register Early -
To ensure the closest available resident lot, it is best to register
for a resident permit early. If you are a Teaching Assistant or Research
Assistant, gold lot privileges will also be assigned.
Stipend -
Graduate students with a stipend may choose payroll deduction as a
payment option at the beginning of the fall semester. If registering
in advance, your stipend for the upcoming year must be in SIS by August
1. If it is not, the permit price will be charged to your student
account.
