Clinical Rounds are conducted as an open forum with interactive discussions between faculty and students of the both the entry level and post professional programs, to discuss "real life" patient case problems. The format routinely results in an exchange of state-of-the art evidence based clinical practice between faculty and students. It is used as a model for developing clinical reasoning and decision making skills.
Clinical Rounds is incorporated into the curriculum of the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program each semester of study. The student's are required to systematically collect clinical information as real patient cases are presented in an oral format. In doing so they are expected to demonstrate the process of physical therapy care and patient management including: examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention and assessment of outcomes.
Clinical Rounds are held weekly during every semester except for selected
periods of the year coinciding with holidays. They are scheduled on Fridays
