Geriatric Residency
The geriatric resident treats patients in the Neurological and Older Adult (NOA) Clinic at the University of Delaware and observes physicians in geriatric related areas. Additional experiences with health professionals in the areas of prosthetics and orthotics, medical management of the complex geriatric patient, pharmacology, nursing, wound care, and health policy are also performed throughout the year. Learning experiences take place in SNF's, hospitals, and home health agencies. Residents will receive mentored physical therapy clinical practice in a variety of areas including neurology, cardiopulmonary, and general musculoskeletal treatment of the older adult.
