 The University of Delaware Sports & Orthopaedic (SO) Physical Therapy Clinic is a 3000 square foot, private, outpatient facility located in the basement of McKinly Laboratory on the main campus of the University. The SO PT clinic primarily treats patients with orthopaedic and sports-related injuries, but will also see a variety of injuries and diagnoses. The Associate Directors of the Sports & Orthopaedic Clinics are Airelle Hunter-Giordano and Karla Bell respectively. The SO Clinic Therapy Staff include 4 full-time PT's, multiple part-time PT's, Orthopedic and Sports Residents, and aides.

The University of Delaware Neurologic and Older Adult Physical Therapy Clinic is a 1500 square foot private, outpatient facility located adjacent to the Sports & Orthopaedic Clinic on the ground floor of McKinly Laboratory on the main campus of the University. All Clinical Instructors in the NOA clinic are experienced in the rehabilitation of older adults and/or those with a neurologic injury or disease. Because NOA serves as a clinical teaching site for graduate students in Physical Therapy at the University of Delaware, patients benefit from the educational resources available and from the emphasis on evidence-based practice. The therapy staff of the NOA clinic includes 1 full time PT, several part time PTs, a Geriatric Resident and numerous aides.

The University of Delaware Pediatric Rehabilitation Clinic is housed in the Early Learning Center on the campus of the University of Delaware. This clinic is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary pediatric rehabilitation service center that provides care for children, ages birth to 12 years, requiring physical, occupational, speech and language therapies.

The University of Delaware’s Clinical Residency Programs are closely mentored clinical experiences, with a combination of didactic and clinical components in Sports, Orthopedic, or Geriatric Physical Therapy. Upon completion of the training, the resident will be prepared to successfully complete the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties exam the respective specialty area. Residencies are dynamic learning experiences exposing the resident to various practice models both in and outside of the UD Physical Therapy Clinics providing students with the most well rounded clinical residency education possible.
The University of Delaware's Clinical Residency Programs are committed to developing competent physical therapy specialists via mentored clinical experiences with recognized clinical experts in their respective fields. The program is dedicated to providing interactions with heath professionals in overlapping practice areas in the specialty field.
The Resident will observe physicians during patient office visits and surgical procedures and develop expert level evaluative and diagnostic skills. The resident will be mentored in scholarly activities such as professional presentations and publications and have multiple opportunities instructing in the entry level DPT program.
