UDPT Shines at APTA Combined Sections Meeting in Nashville
Feb, 9, 2008. UD Physical Therapy Faculty, Staff and Alumnae received numerous awards at the Annual Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association in Nashville, TN this year. Congratulations to all!
Airelle Hunter Giordano, PT, DPT, SCS, OCS, CSCS (MPT '03) UDPT Sports PT Resident Graduate '04, and current Associate Director of Sports in our UD Clinic was recognized as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist
Cathy Ciolek, PT, DPT, GCS (pictured above right) our Geriatric Residency Director and Director of Clinical Education and Angela Robertson Dorr, PT (pictured above left) Geriatric Resident Graduate '08, our 1st Graduate of the UD Geriatric PT Residency Training Program, received the credentialing on behalf of the UD Neurologic and Older Adult Clinic and Geriatric Residency as the 2nd credentialed geriatric residency program in the coutnry.
Cathy Ciolek, PT, DPT, GCS also was the recipient of the 2008 Joan M. Mills Outstanding Serice Award from the Geriatric section to recognize her contribution to the section and field of geriatrics. This is the highest honor for members of the Geriatric Section.
Danelle Dickson, PT, DPT (DPT '06; pictured above left) won the Orthopedic Section Performing Arts Special Interest Group Student Research Award for her presentation at CSM titled: Reliability and Validity of Functional Ankle Range of Motion Measurements in Dancers, with Kendra Hollman Gage DPT '06 from Washington University
