Dr. Schmitt received her bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training from West Chester University. She received her MSPT from Beaver College ( Arcadia University). She completed her DPT from Temple University. Dr. Schmitt is recognized as both a Board Certified Sports Physical Therapist and an Orthopedic Physical Therapist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. She is also a Certified Athletic Trainer. She is a full-time clinical therapist and the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE) at the University of Delaware Physical Therapy Clinic. Her teaching responsibilities are primarily clinical in nature. Additionally, she coordinates and teaches PT in the Acute Care Environment (PHYT 631) and Intro to Clinical Education (PHYT830).
