YoUDee tryouts are an incredible experience and tons of fun. It's a way to come show off your school spirit and act silly.

Tryout information

First Day:

• Must be a UD full-time undergraduate and maintain a 2.0 gpa or above.
• Because of costume restrictions, students trying out for YoUDee must be between height range of 5'9” to 6'1”. Students interested in performing as Baby Blue must be no taller than 4'11”.
• Students will be asked to perform impromptu, including body movement, dance and gymnastic ability, etc.
• Students will have a question and answer interview.
• Students will be called shortly following 1st day for callbacks

Second day/Callbacks

• Students will be asked to prepare a skit and perform it in the macot costume. Skit should have a theme and be no longer than two minutes and must use a minimum of five props. Music is recommended (cd format), but not required. Skits are performed in front of a panel of judges, and based on creativity, prop usages, character development and overall impression.
• Students will be notified within 24 hours to schedule a final interview with UD mascot coordinator. Following the meeting students will be notified if they have made the team.
