Library offers reciprocal borrowing

The University of Delaware Library participates in the Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program, which permits faculty members to have borrowing privileges with participating institutions and on-site access to the many collections of important research libraries in North America. More than 180 institutions participate in the program.

This program, which promotes and facilitates scholarly research and communication, is sponsored by UD with other members of the Association of Research Libraries which are online to OCLC, the Online Computer Library Center in Dublin, Ohio.

A Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program brochure, with a list of institutions that provide borrowing privileges is available. Materials may be used at the owning library or borrowed, depending on the policies of the lending library. To obtain a Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Program brochure and/or program card, contact the Library Office, Room 210, or via e-mail at <ReciprocalBorrowing@mvs.udel. edu> or at 831-2231.

Reciprocal Faculty Borrowing Cards are issued only to full-time, continuing UD faculty for a period of one year and are not transferrable.
