Grant deadline announced for travel, visiting scholar awards

Deadlines are approaching for matching funds for the Student Travel Award, the Special Travel Award (for faculty and staff) and the Visiting Women's Scholars Fund, supported by the Commission on the Status of Women and the Office of Women's Affairs.

The travel awards require a departmental match and are available to women or to men whose research involves women's issues. The awards are given to support travel to present scholarly papers or participate in panel discussions at a conference or comparable activity. Applications are available through the Office of Women's Affairs web site. The deadline for fall semester applications is Nov. 1.

The Visiting Women's Scholars Fund is a matching fund designed to assist departments in bringing women scholars to campus. There is a rolling deadline for the Visiting Women's Scholars Fund. Each application will be evaluated when it is received. These applications also are available through the Office of Women's Affairs web site at <http://www.udel.edu/OWA/index. html>.
