Menopause info The Employee Wellness Center will sponsor a talk on menopause from noon-1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23, in Room 303 Gore Hall. The speaker, Dr. Paul Kaminski, works at the Christiana Care Women's Health Center and specializes in issues of the post reproductive female.Cost is $10 Wellness Dollars. Preregistration is required.

Blood drive The Blood Bank of Delaware/ Eastern Shore is sponsoring a blood drive from noon-5 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 27-28, in the Multipurpose Room of Trabant University Center.In the five minutes it takes to donate a pint of blood, participants can help someone else save a life. No appointments are necessary.
Controlling stress A program on "How to Control Stress (Before it Controls You!)" will be presented from 12:15-1:10 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, in Room 230 MBNA America Hall.Charles Beale, Center for Counseling and Student Development, will teach participants stress reduction techniques that can be applied at work and at home.
The event is sponsored by the Employee Wellness Center. Cost is $10 Wellness Dollars, and preregistration is required.

Computer service The new desktop computer maintenance provider, CCSI, has extended the deadline for accepting annual departmental computer maintenance. contracts until Oct. 30. After that date, noncontract maintenance will be available but only on a time and material basis.An annual contract is more economical than paying for the cost of individual repairs.

Leadership training Parents of children with disabilities are invited to participate in an innovative program that teaches them to be community leaders. "Partners" provides up-to-date information and skill building activities about the legislative process and the local, state and national issues that affect individuals with disabilities.There is no cost to participate in the program, now in its seventh year. Among the best The University came in fifth, raising $6,135 among corporate and business participants in the 1998 American Heart Walk held in September.The top five companies raising more than $1,000 in income from walkers included DuPont Pharmaceuticals, Zeneca, Wilmington Trust Co., AIG Life Companies US and UD.
Tuition exchange Tuition exchange applications, guidelines for participation and general information are now available for the 1999-2000 academic year on the World Wide Web at <http://www.edu/ EMPSERVICE/tuitionex.html>.Completed applications must be returned by Oct. 26. Late applications will not be accepted.
Under the terms of the program, dependent children of eligible faculty, professional, salaried staff and hourly employees may apply to attend one of approximately 350 colleges and universities participating in the national consortium. The dependent must meet the resident institution's admission requirements.
The Tuition Exchange Program can be used in conjunction with the University's tuition remission program, which applies to full-time, matriculated undergraduate students.
