Goals

• $50 million for student support-which will include endowments for merit-based, need-based and athletic scholarships for undergraduates; student awards; and endowment of merit-based fellowships and scholarships for graduate students

• $35 million for faculty support-including endowment to recruit, retain and reward distinguished faculty through named professorships; and support for early career faculty to encourage young scholar-teachers

• $40 million for academic program support-including endowment to support undergraduate students involved in research, internships, study abroad and curricular reform leading to active, learning-based courses; and endowment to support collection development and acquisitions for the University of Delaware Library

• $50 million in capital support-including funding for construction, renovation and enhancement of the living-learning environment; and support for state-of-the-art teaching and research equipment, enhancement of our commitment to instructional technology; support for the electronic library; and matching funds for competitive grants

• $50 million in expendable gifts to the University- through increased annual giving and alumni support
