Even-district SSAC election set

A n election for even-numbered districts of the Salaried Staff Advisory Council (SSAC) will be held this month.

SSAC serves as an advisory body to the vice president for administration on personnel policies and related issues and provides a forum for salaried staff to present and discuss concerns. SSAC meetings are held monthly.

Nomination forms are available and must be completed and returned to Alba Bates, employee training and development, by Friday, Oct. 23. Salaried staff members may self-nominate or nominate a representative who has agreed to serve a two-year term beginning in January.

Ballots with biographical data will be sent to all salaried staff in the even-numbered districts by the end of October, and election results will be announced in November. If there is only one nomination in a district, no formal balloting will take place and constituents will be notified.
