Cadet Capt. Julie E. Fry, a junior nursing major from Cheverly, Md., was one of four UD students to receive a Distinguished Graduate Award from Lt. Col. Patricia A. Meier, Air Force ROTC, during a September ceremony held in Wolf Hall.
The Distinguished Graduate Award is presented to the top 10 percent of all cadets who participate in summer field training exercises. Thirteen UD cadets attended summer training during 1998. The other award winners were Cadet Maj. Brian Stelma, a senior from Newark; Cadet First Lt. Matthew Vollkommer, a senior from Kennett Square, Pa.; and First Lt. Albert Scaperotto, a junior from Ardmore, Pa.
