Children of all ages can enjoy C.S. Lewis' classic tale, The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe, brought to life at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18, in Mitchell Hall.
Audience members can visit the magical land of Narnia, where winter lasts the year round and an evil witch rules with an iron grasp and a heart of ice. The adventures of four school children who accidentally tumble into Narnia through a wondrous wardrobe are chronicled in the play. Although unlikely heroes, the children are destined to fulfill an ancient prophecy by defeating the evil witch and saving the spellbound land. They bring sunshine and peace to the realm as they return the great Lion King Aslan to his throne.
The hour-long performance conveys the inspirational magic that has captivated young children for decades.
Tickets for the performance are $10 for the general public, $8 for UD faculty, staff, alumni and senior citizens and $6 for students and children.
Additionally, the Blue & Gold Club is offering a special "Bewitching Ice Cream Sundae and Munchies" party prior to the show from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Cost for the party is $9 for adults and $7 for children ages 5-11.
