Memorial service A celebration of the life and legacy of Janice Marie Jordan Coleman, director of the Student Services for Athletes Program, associate director of the Center for Counseling and Student Development and assistant professor of education, will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25, in the Clayton Hall auditorium.

A reception in Room 101B of Clayton Hall will follow.

Dr. Jordan died June 22 at the age of 51 after a two-year battle with cancer.

Brown Bag Club Beginning this month, 12 families with children in Brookmont Farms will receive food twice a month from the Food Bank of Delaware, thanks to a Kraft Foods Inc. grant to New Castle County Extension's 4-H Camp Counselor Club. The grant supports a Brown Bag Club, which allows a group of low-income families to join together to purchase nutritious food at low cost.

The grant also will support a community garden for residents, who will learn the gardening skills necessary for growing food. This part of the project will begin next spring and run through the summer. The program will involve members of the 4-H Camp Counselor Camp and the Brookmont 4-H Club, who will volunteer with the Food Bank, becoming aware of the hunger situation in New Castle County and in the United States in general.

Traffic change Traffic flow in front of Townsend Hall, which currently runs south to north will be changed, effective Sunday, Oct. 11, to operate from north to south.

During the next few weeks, Public Safety personnel will publicize the change, which is designed to enhance traffic flow and better serve employees, students and visitors to the area. The change also will improve movement during construction and allow easier access to the small parking area in front of Townsend Hall.
