Saving e-mail to hard drives

Because the central e-mail server ("mail.udel.edu" also called "copland.udel.edu") is shared by thousands of users, each user is allocated a certain amount of disk space (also called "quota") on the server. If the quota is exceeded, a user may not be able to access e-mail until he or she reduces the amount of space being used.

To avoid exceeding quota, users should always delete unnecessary e-mail. And, they should use their e-mail clients to save the e-mail they want to keep to their desktop computer's hard drive.

Specific instructions about how to save e-mail to a Windows 95/98 computer's hard drive are available on the web at <http://www.udel.edu/topics/netscape/managemail.html>.
