Barbara Kreppel named associate vice president

Barbara L. Kreppel has been named associate vice president for administrative services, effective July 1. Working in the Office of the Executive Vice President, she is responsible for such areas as the Bob Carpenter Center, ice arenas and outdoor pool, plus Dining and Conference Services, which are managed by ARAMARK.

As supervisor of financial and information services, she oversees activity related to the UD#1 FLEX debit program, the UD#1 Card with MAC and the ticketing operations conducted through University box offices, as well as all UD-related trademark licensing issues.

Other offices that report to her include Housing Assignment Services, University Bookstore operations managed by FOLLETT and Supporting Services, which involves Campus Delivery, Mail Services, Graphic Communication Services, Mover Services, Transportation and Publications.

As associate vice president, Kreppel provides direction and management to her units, establishes and assures implementation of long- and short-term goals, directs operating and capital budget development, serves as liaison with contractural management providers and serves as adviser to the executive vice president on matters related to policy, planning, management and operation of her units.

Kreppel has served as assistant vice president for administrative services since August 1991. Previously, she was director of auxiliary services at Lehigh University.

Kreppel received a bachelor's in French and social science and a minor in political science from Frostburg State University in 1975 and a master's degree in public administration from Lehigh University in 1983.
