Continuing ed recognizes faculty excellence

Each year, the Division of Continuing Education honors its faculty for excellence in teaching.

Nominations submitted by the adult students enrolled in classes, including the Parallel Program, in Wilmington, Dover and Georgetown, are reviewed by continuing education staff.

According to Richard Fischer, continuing education, "The awards are an indication that the University is not only committed to the education of traditional college students but also to providing outstanding teaching to its part-time, returning adult students."

This year the following continuing education faculty were recognized.

From Wilmington-Charles De Tulleo, Legal Assistant Certificate Program; and Crista Johnson, foreign languages and literatures;

From Dover-Barbara Christensen, English; Carla Morris, mathematics; and Keith McKain, science;

From Georgetown-George Blackwell, philosophy; James Keegan, English; and Nancy McCagney, philosophy.

Morris and Christensen are full-time faculty, and McKain is an adjunct instructor in the UD Parallel Program in Dover.
