Community leader honored with Medal of Distinction

Ann Dugdale Wick received the University of Delaware Medal of Distinction May 29 at College of Engineering Convocation ceremonies held after Commencement.

A member of the board of Saint Michael's Day Nursery and the Tatnall School, she also is an advisory board member of Opera Delaware, the Delaware Center for Horticulture, Holy Trinity Old Swedes Foundation, Christ Church Christian and the University of Delaware Laird Fellowship Committee.

She was instrumental in establishing the George W. Laird Merit Fellowship, which is named for her late husband and is designed to provide a substantial merit award for individuals studying at the graduate level in the College of Engineering.
