The Arrival Survival Team is seeking members of the UD community to help meet and greet freshmen and transfer students and to lend a helping hand in moving them into their residence halls on New Student Check-in Day, beginning at 8 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 23.
This service is truly appreciated by students and parents, and more than 500 people are needed, according to Susan Martin, residence life, who said she will try to accommodate all requests for assignments. All volunteers will receive T-shirts.
Luggage luggers are needed for four- and eight-hour shifts in all areas of the campus, except North Central. A limited number of lobby greeters also are needed for four- and eight-hour shifts. Also needed are a small number of area coordinators, who arrive a few minutes early and help organize team efforts and later help with luggage.

To volunteer, call Martin at 831-8423 before the July 31 deadline.
