Printmaker's work featured in new book

Resurrected by Rosemary Lane

Rosemary Lane, art, is featured in the new book Forty-Eight Contemporary American Printmakers, distributed in both America and China. The book was published to introduce American and Chinese audiences to contemporary American printmakers.

Earlier this year, a print of her linoleum cut Resurrected (shown at right) appeared in Colorprint U.S.A., a show which featured a work by one artist from each state.

The show featured outstanding examples of lithography, woodcut, etching, screenprint and other printmaking procedures by some of America's finest print artists. Because each artist contributed an edition of more than 50 prints, the show opened in the 50 museums and art galleries coast to coast, simultaneously exhibiting the same works. Lane hosted the national, traveling show at its Delaware venue, the Delaware College of Art and Design in Wilmington.

Her works also have been featured at a number of venues, including the 15th National Biennial Exhibition of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society and the 27th Bradley National Print and Drawing Exhibition at Bradley University in Illinois.
