As summer approaches, it's time to start making summer child-care arrangements. A convenient way for UD employees to find out about the options open to them is through the University's web site. UD's On-Line Child-Care Resource and Referral Service, administered by The Family and Workplace Connection, is at <https://www.mvs.udel.edu/fwp.html>.
Information is available about local day camps, resident camps, "adventure" camps and local activity programs and workshops.
Among the considerations when selecting a child-care program are the child's interests and age, surroundings, staff, hours, activities, availability of an extended day program and transportation. Once the child's and family's needs are determined, the on-line child-care service can help by offering a selection of programs that fill family requirements.
