|Vol. 18, No. 21||Feb. 25, 1999|
Plant Property Records (PPR) is conducting a survey to document the status of all University capital assets. Confirmation is required that each department still has and can locate its capital assets, which are defined as equipment costing $5,000 or more at the time of acquisition and having a life expectancy of more than two years.
This year, the survey will be processed by using the PPR query. After entering PPR query, the user selects BRD (department budget code) from the Query Menu Screen, which shows a unit's inventory in tag order. All Class I equipment that has been properly tagged is listed according to department budget code. Paper copies of the inventory will not be distributed as in previous years.
If you need access to PPR query or an instruction manual, send an e-mail to <PPR@mvs.udel.edu> or call Patricia Blackson at 831-2159.
This equipment inventory must be completed by May 1, to comply with University and federal guidelines. PPR is relying on campuswide cooperation to meet this deadline.
The following guidelines will help those completing the survey:
If the department's inventory matches the PPR query, the administrator to whom the equipment is assigned should forward e-mail to <PPR@mvs. udel.edu> as notification that the inventory has been completed.
If changes are necessary to a unit's inventory, the administrator should use the electronic relocation form to reflect these changes. After completing the relocation form, the administrator to whom the equipment is assigned should forward e-mail to <PPR@mvs. udel.edu> as notification that the inventory has been completed.
Units with equipment that is not in the query should send e-mail to <PPR@mvs.udel.edu> or contact Blackson at 831-2159 for further instructions.
